But as he drives off in a huff, he himself breaks a couple of flowerpots. The little boy gives the old man an annoyed look and resumes his activity – replanting an uprooted sapling in the flowerbed.

# 24. RANG

Three friends arrive at a farmhouse for the weekend. Sitting under the starry skies, their friendly banter over drinks, gradually takes on communal undertones. As this gives way to violence, the green and orange marigold flowers on the farm begin to loose colour. The mute farm-hand intervenes and is accidentally hit on the head. As he falls to the ground, he sees the faces of the boys take on the hues, which define their religious loyalties – the orange and green from the faded flowers.
